Well, after having rubber duckies in his bath for 10 months Josiah finally said DUCK! Well, “Du”. Then he wouldn’t stop. It was so cute. I’ve been trying to teach him a million things but it seems like everyone else teaches him things and I can’t. Finally! It was so cute. Oh! Update on J is that he’s doing much better and hasn’t thrown up since breakfast. He was in such a good mood today for the first time in 2 weeks. He still is clingy but there were lots of smiles today. Tomorrow, we’re going to the Caskey’s for Thanksgiving along with the rest of Charleston. Ha! Actually 3/4 other families. It’ll be fun and we’re looking forward to it.

J’s sick…
So, it’s that time again! Winter… cold and flu season which means that we all have colds. Josiah has had a cold for 2 weeks. I refused to take him to the dr. because I knew they would just pump him full of antibiotics and send him home. So, for 2 weeks he has hardly had an appetite and has been so clingy. We couldn’t figure out what was going on. All he had was a runny nose and cough. Today, when we were at church sanitizing the nursery the pastor was holding Josiah in his office and I had just got telling the secretary how Josiah hadn’t dealt with a stomach bug in his entire life. 10 minutes later out came Pastor and he turned around and all over his back was vomit from Josiah. Now, Josiah has pooed all over him AND vomited all over him. Poor guy! So, I got him into an appointment and it turns out he has NOW has a sinus infection. When he coughs he chokes and gags on flem and he throws up. So, I’ve had to take apart his new car seat and clean all the vomit out and all his clothes. I’m just praising God that he is not contagious and it’s not worse. It can quickly be taken care of. Pray for us!
This week…
This week has been good. We have been staying home even more because it’s getting harder for mommy to carry 2 babies at once. Well, technically 3! Josiah loves to eat bananas every morning for breakfast and now think that bananas and canned fruit are the only options in the world to eat. We’re now struggling with getting him to eat real food. Which never was a problem before. Josiah has also started to really show a love for babies. He loves to love on Staten and to say “hi baby” and wave with both hands. He also has a puppy that he loves to put in the bouncer and bounce and walk around holding it like a baby. Josiah loves to take walks and to pick up acorns and sneak them into his mouth when mommy isn’t looking. Josiah has a love of boxes and loves to take his puppy into the diaper box with him and sit in it together.

We’re so excited to welcome a new baby at church this week. Estera Tanase was born on Sunday Nov. 11 at 12:15 pm by emergency c section she was 6 lbs 2 oz and was 3 weeks early. Her parents are the ones from Romania that moved here when they were 14 weeks along. We’re so excited to finally be getting new babies in the church.
Josiah, mommy, and Staten went to the Caskeys for a playdate on Thursday and got to each chimichangas from our freezer cooking club. They were VERY good especially with the hot sauce on them! Yummy! Josiah enjoyed playing with little Elijah and Merry. Adina and I are going to start doing a bible study together about prayer. I’m looking forward to it and can’t wait to dig deeper in to God’s word!
Richard finally finished his Evangelism class last week and ended with an A. Praise God. He still has 5 or so weeks until the end of the Old Testament Survey. Continue to pray for him as he does this class. It’s harder than the previous one and he will be balancing the Christmas schedule at UPS and his other job while trying to do school and be a good dad/husband.

Getting Started

After 4 1/2 hours of hard work… our finished product!!!
So, anyways I’m sure I’ve mentioned to some of you that we’ve made new friends out here. They just moved from Nebraska to beautiful Charleston, SC. Anyways, this lady is awesome. She is just the motivation and the idea lady I need to make use of my time and being more like Proverbs 31 wife and doing all kinds of things for my family. So, in Nebraska she and her friends came up with OAMC (Once a month cooking ) I’m sure you all have heard about those crazy’s that like to get in their kitchens and make 30 meals in one day. Well, Adina invited us to try 4/5 recipes in her kitchen. The time limit… make all your recipes in 4 hours. Well, we must mention the drama in just trying to get to her house. Well, let’s just say she lives on an air force base and they are on lock down. Talk about gated community. Anyways, the guys took the kids to the playground and chic filet and we cooked. It was awesome we made all sorts of dishes. We ended up with I believe 48 meals total just between the 4 of us. YA!!! We’re so doing it next month. I think we’re going to get a blog (figures) up for our little club ( I feel like I’m 5) and post our recipes and such.
Welcome to the world of blogging…
Well, since all my new cool friends are blogging I thought I would join in on the fun. Well, EVERYONE is doing it so I must too. Even my husband made a blogger account the other day. I think this is better than me sitting on pregnancy message boards all day freaking out and making up symptoms that don’t exist. I hope ya’ll enjoy our page once I get the hang of this.
