Would you like a spot of tea?

Ummm… so please don’t kill me when you hear this but, ummmm…. Josiah went to his first tea party today :o I know.  It was his first and most likely his last.  He won’t remember sitting around a table of linen and lace with necklaces and tiny finger foods on the table.  But, it’s ok because he had a good time.  You know why?   Because, there was food!  Oh ya!  The boy loved the scones and the fruit cups, and the red velvet cakes.  Atleast, he got to wear a camo hat for a bit!

All the kids at the party.  Boys def. outnumber the girls.  Birthday girl in the middle.

So, afterward we felt like we didn’t get enough food (ya right) and decided to head down to the taco truck and get a meal with the Caskeys and Tammy.  So, we all loaded up and got some tacos and quesadillas filled with carnitas, carne asada, and pollo asada.  It was sooo yummy.  Since, we were in that part of town we decided to make a quick stop at the mexican market and pick up some stuff.  We got chili suckers, chorizo, pan, and a kilo of mate.  Josiah was whining in the car because he saw me eating (usual) and so I let him try my chili sucker.  He liked it sooo much he got his own!

2nd appointment

Yesterday, was my 2nd appointment.  It was pretty much in and out.  I was looking forward to hearing the heartbeat on the doppler and I did!  The heartbeat was a strong 160!  My uterus is growing at the right rate.  So, everything seems fine.  My next appointment is Jan. 25.

Christmas is over…

Well, we had a nice quiet Christmas.  We went to Christmas Eve service at church and after went to Pastor Franks house to eat chili.  There were about 30 people there!  Christmas morning we stayed home and opened up presents and then had breakfast burritos for breakfast.  Daddy wanted to take Josiah for a walk in his new wagon so we went on a REALLY long walk on the path by our house.  Then we went out to eat at Osaka (asian) for dinner.  The Caskeys had us over for dessert (homemade strawberry cheesecake)  It was very yummy!  We missed our family soooo much but enjoyed our last Christmas as a family of 3.

It’s been too long! Yuck!

Wow, it really has almost been a month since I last wrote.  I had my first dr. appointment on Nov. 28th and everything went very well.  We have 1 heartbeat!  Praise God!! What a beautiful miracle at only 6 weeks 5 days old there was a beating life in there.  Makes me all teary eyed!  My next appointment is the day after Christmas and I’m pretty excited.  I hope by then we can hear the heartbeat with the doppler because I will be almost 11 weeks.

Josiah is changing so fast.  So many new things he’s doing.  He just learned stinky and when I say the word stinky he waves his hands around like as if waving the smell away.  It’s really funny.  He says “uh oh” and at the appropriate times.  He’s obsessed with socks and I will find random socks daddy’s/J’s all around the house.  He loves the dog and wants to give her lots of kisses.  She doesn’t like kisses  very much.  Today, he gave me 3 real kisses for the first time with smacking his lips.  I love it!!!  Josiah got 2 UPS hotwheel sized trucks from grannie and grandpapa yesterday and he pushes them around and says “Rrrrrrrr….”  He loves to eat.  Boy!  Does he!  This boy seriously eats as much as I do and then wants my food too.  He is a true Coronado.

We are going to be making it out to the west side in January and we’re so excited.  Besides seeing our family we will be making stops at mexican food restaraunts, boba, and REAL donuts.  Can’t wait for that Carne asada!!!  Woo hoo.  Anita may be able to get us tickets to the “O” show Cirque de Soleil at Belagio.  I’m so excited I’ve never been to a show in Vegas.  I’m also going to bring a couple quarters seeing how I’m finally 21 and can actually stand near the slot machines.  Pictures will be up on here as soon as we’re back!

I finally got my Christmas cards out with an exception of a few with no addresses.  But, this is the first year I’ve done cards so that’s exciting.

Richard has 2 more working days left of crazy Christmas season at UPS and he will be crawling home on Christmas eve.  He’s sooooo exhausted!   He’s done really well especially finishing up a college class during this season.  He past his classes with A’s so we are sooooo happy.  It’s good to know we are in God’s will for our lives.

So far we don’t have any plans for Christmas day but I think we were going to try to stay home and actually be together as a family and finally spend some time together.  That should be awesome!  Last night we went caroling at the nursing home with the church and Josiah at like 4 cookies afterwards!  Tonight, we are going to an appetizer party at the associate pastors house.  Saturday, we are going to the Smoaks (where J had his party) and they are going to do Josiah’s presents and cook us some boston butt!  Sunday we were invited to the pastor’s for an annual chili party.  So, we do have alot going on.  We are very grateful to have so many people in our lives out here to love.

Well, I hope to update right after Christmas to post all of J’s cool presents and share anything else.  To God be ALL the glory!
